Who we are
The CIDC-Sensika Disinformation Observatory is a collaborative initiative by the Center for Information, Democracy, and Citizenship (CIDC) at the American University in Bulgaria and Sensika Technologies, a leader in media monitoring.
Together, we work to combat disinformation, protect truth, and empower democratic societies.

We envision a global platform that tracks and combats disinformation across regions. By leveraging cutting-edge AI and expert insights, we strive to detect, understand, and counter the spread of false narratives.

Working with the CIDC–Sensika Disinformation Observatory has deepened my understanding of the disinformation landscape and the urgency of countering propaganda. I’ve gained valuable skills in analyzing information objectively and thinking critically in complex socio-political environments. The experience has shown me how disinformation can erode trust in democratic institutions and how important it is to defend truth through informed, ethical research. It’s been incredibly empowering to contribute to this mission as part of a collaborative, dedicated team.
